• Water Based Traffic Paint
• This paint is bright and very visible. Glass beads are sometimes added in some brands to increase reflectivity.
• Best used for paved surfaces with lighter traffic, like parking lots and other slower traffic areas.
• Latex Traffic Paint
• Dries very quickly when heated. Glass beads can be added for extra reflectivity.
• Great for use in projects that require quick dry times and more resistance to humidity. Often used in permanent marking for cross-walks,streets, highways and airport runways.
• Acrylic Traffic Paint
• May come in regular or fast drying which typically dries in less than 5 minutes. Traditionally solvent based with low VOC formulations. This can also be combined with glass beads for extra reflectivity.
• Designed for use on concrete, asphalt, and other surfaces. It should not be used on uncured asphalt (found for example on tennis courts and some driveways).
• Thermoplastic Traffic Paint Paint
• This paint is unique because it starts as a solid and then when heated turns liquid, then dries as a solid again.
• This type of paint is a common choice for road striping in areas that get high traffic.It is more time consuming to apply but extremely durable.
• Inverted Traffic Paint
• Typically acrylic based. It is formulated to be used in an inverted position.
• Often used for utility marking, ground marking, athletic fields and in construction.
• Fast Dry Traffic Paint
• This refers to drying speed only and not to formulation. It can come in acrylic or latex form. Typically dries in less than 5 minutes.
• May be used for striping interior or exterior asphalt and concrete surfaces.
